Responsibilities/Duties:

Prior experience installing, maintaining, or repairing irrigtation systems in a residential, commercial or community setting. Perform regular irrigation system maintenance to optimize performance and prevent issues. Monitor and test existing installations, troubleshoot and repair, as well as maintaining overall operation of the irrigation system. Repair or replace damaged irrigation equipment, including valves, controllers, sensors, and sprinkler heads. Conduct system inspections for leaks, clogs, or malfunctions; perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Assist with excavation work for system installation or repairs using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Manage automated irrigation control systems to ensure proper scheduling and water conservation efforts.

Skills and qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as an Irrigation Technician related to the job duties. Basic mechanical knowledge related to irrigation system components and operation. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job. Experience in lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques. Familiarity with various irrigation methods and best practices for efficient water usage. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members effectively.

Physical Work Demands:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to endure prolonged and repetitive bending, kneeling, walking, digging and sweeping. Must be able to tolerate, and perform duties, in extremes of outside elements such as heat, cold, rain etc. Must be able or learn to operate various pieces of maintenance equipment.
