Company truck provided for authorized business use Position Summary DVI Water Management is seeking a dependable and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our professional team. This is a full-time position for someone who can independently diagnose, repair, maintain, and install commercial and residential irrigation systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, strong troubleshooting skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to complete work accurately and efficiently. Some projects require travel to out-of-town worksites, which may include occasional overnight stays. Primary Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pressure, coverage, and controller-related problems. Repair or replace valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, nozzles, pipes, fittings, wiring, pumps, and other system components. Program, test, and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and timers. Locate damaged or leaking irrigation lines and complete necessary repairs. Trace irrigation wiring and identify electrical faults. Adjust sprinkler heads and system components for proper coverage and water efficiency. Perform irrigation system start-ups, inspections, scheduled maintenance, and system modifications. Read site plans, irrigation layouts, work orders, and technical instructions. Accurately document completed work, materials used, system conditions, and recommended repairs. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, property managers, and other team members. Operate company vehicles, tools, machinery, and equipment safely. Keep the assigned company truck, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Maintain appropriate inventory of commonly used parts and supplies. Follow company safety procedures and all applicable jobsite requirements. Travel to local and out-of-town worksites as assigned. Perform other irrigation-related duties as needed. Read and write in English. Experience and Qualifications Previous professional irrigation experience is required. A minimum of two years of hands-on irrigation experience is preferred. Experience servicing commercial and residential irrigation systems is strongly preferred. Must be able to diagnose irrigation problems without constant supervision. Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, wiring, sprinkler heads, piping, fittings, pumps, and water-pressure issues. Experience with two-wire irrigation systems, pump systems, and smart irrigation controllers is a plus. Ability to use irrigation testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and pipe-repair equipment. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to report to scheduled jobsites on time. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be willing and able to travel to out-of-town worksites when required.
