In this role, you will be actively involved in the daily operations of livestock management, ensuring that farm activities run smoothly and efficiently. Your hands-on approach will contribute to maintaining a productive, safe, and sustainable farm setting. Duties Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, power tools, and other heavy equipment to support planting and general farm activities Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing: moving hay, moving grain to promote healthy growth in horses Care for livestock by feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal health to ensure proper animal husbandry standards are met Handle livestock including horses (equine) and dogs, with care and adherence to safety protocols Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, to minimize downtime Maintain grounds to include mowing, weed eating, pressure washing and painting. Support animal husbandry tasks such as barn cleaning, stall cleaning, cleaning tack room and horse trailers. Ensure compliance with safety standards in production by following proper manual handling procedures and wearing appropriate safety gear during all tasks Requirements Proven experience working outdoors in farming or agricultural settings with a strong understanding of farming practices. Knowledge of animal care practices including livestock handling, animal husbandry, and equine experience is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance skills is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions Basic math skills for record keeping and measurement tasks required for farm operations Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), livestock management systems or farm machinery is beneficial Strong outdoor work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to safety standards On site Housing Information RV Housing + Part-Time Work Opportunity Work 25 hours per week while living on-site in an RV.
