In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and plant health. Your mechanical and electrical diagnostics skills will help you identify issues quickly, while your horticultural knowledge will support sustainable landscape practices. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about landscaping, soil science, and sustainable lawn care to make a tangible impact on outdoor environments. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain a variety of irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators. Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs. Diagnose electrical issues within irrigation controllers and troubleshoot system faults using electrical diagnostics techniques. Adjust watering schedules based on soil science data, weather conditions, and landscape requirements to promote healthy growth. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions with overall lawn care and horticultural practices. Operate construction equipment safely during system installation or upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Keep detailed records of system performance, repairs, and modifications for ongoing optimization and reporting purposes. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems and related hardware. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics related to controllers and sensors within irrigation setups. Hands-on experience with irrigation management, soil science principles, and sustainable landscaping practices. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, horticulture, and general landscaping principles. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of soil conditions and water management strategies to optimize irrigation efficiency. Previous experience in construction or landscape projects is highly desirable.
