Irrigation experience preferred About the Position We are looking for a dependable, experienced Irrigation Service Technician to join our team serving Sarasota and Manatee counties. This is primarily a service, troubleshooting, and repair position along with assisting on installation projects. The ideal candidate can diagnose irrigation problems, communicate professionally with customers, and complete repairs efficiently without requiring constant supervision. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can manage a daily service route, and wants a long-term position with opportunities to grow. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems Troubleshoot irrigation controllers, valves, wiring, solenoids, pumps, heads, rotors, drip systems, and related components Locate leaks, broken pipes, damaged valves, and electrical issues Replace and adjust spray heads and rotors Repair PVC and polyethylene irrigation piping Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers Identify coverage problems and make recommendations for system improvements Perform irrigation system inspections and preventative maintenance Complete service calls efficiently and accurately Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Explain irrigation problems and recommended repairs clearly to customers Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle Keep work areas clean and professional Follow company safety procedures and standards Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: Previous irrigation service and repair experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of common irrigation controllers, valves, heads, rotors, and drip irrigation Experience with PVC irrigation repairs Ability to troubleshoot basic irrigation electrical problems Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule Good communication and customer-service skills Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record, drivers license requires clearance by the company insurance carrier. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Bilingual is a benefit HDPE welding qualified Knowledge of Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, and similar irrigation systems is a plus. Physical Requirements This is an outdoor field position.
Candidates must be able to:
Work outdoors in Florida weather Bend, kneel, dig, and work around landscaping Lift and carry approximately 50 lbs. Safely operate common irrigation and landscape tools Perform physical work throughout the workday Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $22-$28/hour depending on experience and ability.
