Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operator to support the upkeep and presentation of our golf course. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the course's aesthetic and functional quality through various groundskeeping and maintenance tasks. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate a variety of equipment safely and efficiently. Duties Mow greens, tees, aprons, fairways, and roughs to ensure optimal playing conditions. Perform clean-up of the course using hand blowers, fairway blowers, and sweepers to maintain a tidy environment. Use chainsaws for pruning trees and shrubs as necessary to promote healthy growth and safety. Rake sand bunkers both with machinery and by hand to keep them well-maintained. Aerify, seed, and fertilize the turf to promote healthy grass growth. Assist in setting up the course for play, including positioning tees and markers as determined by the Assistant Superintendents. Responsible for syringe watering to ensure proper hydration of specific areas. Keep equipment in good working condition through routine maintenance and reporting any issues promptly. Requirements Prior experience in groundskeeping or golf course maintenance is preferred. Ability to operate lawn mowers, blowers, sweepers, chainsaws, and other maintenance equipment safely. Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Knowledge of turf management practices including aerification, seeding, fertilization, and watering techniques. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and work independently when needed. Valid driver's license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
