A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.
Position Summary We're looking for a hardworking, dependable Farm Hand/Landscaper to help maintain the beauty and productivity of our farm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating beautiful spaces, and isn't afraid of physical work in Florida's changing weather. No two days are exactly the same. You'll help care for our crops and landscape while ensuring the farm remains a welcoming place for visitors, volunteers, and educational programs. Responsibilities Plant, weed, mulch, and maintain vegetable fields and landscape beds Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and walking paths Prune trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants Assist with irrigation installation, repairs, and daily watering Harvest crops as needed Prepare garden beds and spread compost, mulch, and soil amendments Operate and maintain landscaping and farm equipment safely (mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, blowers, etc.) Help keep the farm clean, organized, and visitor-ready Assist with farm events and educational programs as needed Work alongside volunteers, interns, and staff in a positive and professional manner Follow all farm safety procedures Qualifications Previous landscaping, farming, nursery, or outdoor labor experience preferred Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly Comfortable working in hot, humid, and rainy weather Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance and plant care Experience operating landscaping equipment is preferred Positive attitude with a willingness to learn Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For Strong work ethic Attention to detail Self-motivated and dependable Passion for agriculture, sustainability, or the outdoors Takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces Flexible and willing to help wherever needed Schedule Part-time 15-20 hours a week Benefits Opportunity to work on a regenerative farm making a positive impact in the community Employee discounts at the farm Hands-on experience with sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming practices Supportive and mission-driven team environment Join our team and help us grow healthy food, healthy communities, and a healthier planet.
