Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in Indian River, St. Lucie, Highlands, Polk, Desoto, Hardee, Hendry, Collier, Orange, and Martin Counties. Housing is located in Okeechobee, FL (Okeechobee County) and Fort Pierce, FL (St. Lucie County). D.
Job Offer:
Workers may be asked to operate farm equipment, vehicles, fruit loaders and ATVs in groves and any other equipment related to harvesting citrus crops. Duties may vary from time to time.
Grove Clean-up:
Workers may be required to perform miscellaneous grove clean-up work. These activities may include picking up trash from groves and maintaining/cleaning portable toilets. •Safety training for use of farm equipment will be provided. Management reserves the right to restrict employees from operational duties who do not show a proficiency to effectively communicate with management and may therefore place other employees' safety at risk. May be asked to load fruit onto fruit trailers using fruit loaders. May also be asked to unload/reload packing house bins using fruit loaders. Workers may be asked to repair ladders and tubs and move ladder trailers with pick up trucks or fruit loaders on farm/in fields. Workers may be asked to help maintain harvesting equipment such as: fruit loaders, tubs, ATV's, fruit tailers/loaders & ladder trailers. May be asked to harvest fruit, if needed. Workers may be asked to help with tree planting, trimming, injecting and pruning. Tools and training will be provided. May randomly help other workers to make sure they are doing an adequate job and report to supervisors. May be asked to help complete daily timesheets for workers. If asked to drive passenger vans to transport workers to/from housing, laundry mat, fields, grocery, and may also be asked to transport injured workers from field to clinic, worker must be able to obtain a Florida Driver's License. May be asked to help maintain/clean vehicles .
Pay:
Florida Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) - $16.00 per hour ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

60 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 10 hours per day . Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance. Family housing is not available. Meals (Board): Workers residing at H & F Mobile Home Park-The employer will provide housing with a free, convenient, and fully equipped kitchen facilities with refrigerator, stove, pots, pans, utensils and counter space for cooking, that will enable the workers to prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities will include dishwashing facilities with adequate sinks that have hot and cold water under pressure that are in working conditions to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will also provide free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city to buy food, banking services, and other necessaries. Transportation will be in an approved bus/van/car/truck at no cost to workers. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer's job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer's H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
