Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems across various landscapes. Your expertise will ensure efficient water management, healthy lawns, and vibrant landscapes while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Install new irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and piping, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of existing irrigation equipment to optimize performance and prevent failures. Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to identify faults in irrigation systems. Repair or replace damaged components such as valves, controllers, pumps, and piping with precision and care. Perform excavation work necessary for system installation or repair projects while adhering to safety standards. Manage automated irrigation control systems to ensure proper scheduling and water efficiency. Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into landscape designs while maintaining soil science principles for optimal plant health. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation equipment and systems. Experience in new irrigation system installation projects from planning through execution. Strong understanding of landscaping principles and soil science related to irrigation needs. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot complex system issues effectively. Skilled in excavation techniques using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and system troubleshooting methods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Preferred candidates will have experience in irrigation management, irrigation maintenance, and system repair projects. A background in lawn care, the use of hand tools and power tools, as well as knowledge of irrigation system repair projects will be highly valued.
