As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and beauty of residential and commercial landscapes by maintaining, repairing, and improving irrigation systems. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems at assigned residential and commercial properties. Inspect and maintain irrigation controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, drip systems, pipes, fittings, pumps, wells, and related components. Identify and diagnose leaks, damaged components, electrical issues, pressure problems, and areas of inadequate coverage. Test irrigation zones, verify proper operation, and adjust system components and schedules for optimal performance and water efficiency. Perform on-site repairs, including replacement of sprinkler heads, valves, solenoids, fittings, pipes, wiring, and controllers. Assist with new irrigation system installations, renovations, and upgrades, including trenching, pipe installation, and restoration of work areas. Install and maintain smart irrigation technology, rain sensors, and weather-based controllers to promote water conservation. Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and team members regarding system issues, repairs, and recommendations. Complete work orders, service documentation, and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition and report any needs for additional materials or support. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Qualifications Experience with irrigation system inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for residential and/or commercial properties. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently in the field and manage assigned routes efficiently. Professional communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to assist with installation and renovation of irrigation systems, including physical tasks such as trenching and pipe installation.
