Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Irrigation Technician to join our team. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing irrigation systems, primarily on commercial properties. The ideal candidate has solid irrigation experience, is comfortable diagnosing problems in the field, and can work independently when needed. You should be familiar with both older and newer irrigation systems and be able to identify problems, determine the proper repair, and complete the work correctly. Experience with 2-wire systems, particularly Rain Bird and Hunter, is highly preferred. A valid driver's license is required for this position. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain irrigation systems Locate valves, leaks, wiring issues, breaks, and other system problems Install and repair irrigation pipe, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, solenoids, and other components Troubleshoot conventional and 2-wire irrigation systems Work with commercial irrigation systems ranging from older systems to newer technology Program and adjust irrigation controllers for proper coverage and efficient water use Perform minor repairs as well as larger irrigation repair and installation projects Read irrigation plans, blueprints, and system layouts when needed Complete irrigation reports and document work performed using a mobile device Determine materials and equipment needed to complete assigned repairs Safely operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and work vehicles Keep the company vehicle, tools, equipment, and job sites clean and organized Communicate clearly with managers, crew members, and customers when necessary Assist with estimating or quoting irrigation repairs and upcoming work Support Operations and Landscape Management as needed Qualifications Valid driver's license required Previous irrigation repair, maintenance, or installation experience Strong irrigation troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with commercial irrigation systems preferred Experience with 2-wire systems, including Rain Bird and Hunter, strongly preferred Knowledge of valves, solenoids, controllers, sprinkler heads, wiring, pumps, and other irrigation components Well pump and pressure tank experience is a plus Ability to locate valves and diagnose zones that are not operating correctly Experience using trenchers, pipe cutters, hand tools, and power tools Ability to read irrigation plans and blueprints Comfortable using a phone or mobile device to complete reports Able to work independently and make decisions in the field Dependable, organized, and able to manage assigned work efficiently Ability to safely operate a company vehicle Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., dig, climb ladders, and perform physical outdoor work Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather Schedule Full-time Workday begins at 6:15 AM Typical schedule is approximately 6:15 AM-2:30 PM , depending on workload and job requirements Reliable and consistent attendance is required Benefits Paid time off Company vehicle provided for work-related use Opportunities for growth and additional responsibility
