The Cultivation Supervisor will help us launch a new facility in Dublin, GA. Under the direction of the VP of Cultivation, the Cultivation Supervisor will manage the facility and oversee the grow cycle of cannabis plants. This person must be comfortable working independently and be willing to wear multiple hats as we continue to build out the onsite team.Responsibilities:
Collaborate with and take direction from the VP of Cultivation. Responsible for inventory and ordering of all nutrients, mediums, and other equipment needed for the propagation of cannabis flowers. Identify and prepare preventative maintenance required to eliminate mold, mildew, plant disease, damage, and pests. Manage the crop growth environment by keeping all growth facility systems in good working order and keeping on hand the necessary horticultural supplies to optimize the health and productivity of the crop. Ensure all logbooks are up to date and accurate Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations. Will be the onsite contact at the facility to make sure it is always 'survey ready'. Serve as a support or backup contact for regulatory surveys, ensuring proper communication, preparation and follow up. Ensure deadlines and cultivation scheduling milestones are met. Knowledge of trimming practices and techniques.Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum education level of GED or High School Diploma. A bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or plant science field is desirable. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the horticulture or agriculture industry with success in a large-scale indoor or greenhouse facility. Experience with setting up and expanding cultivation programs. Proficiency in plant identification and basic math skills Experience in greenhouse operations and plant growing techniques Ability to write reports, complete checklists, and correspond via email. Excellent communication skills and leadership both written and verbally At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Flexibility in schedule, and the ability to provide emergency response as needed during off hours, which may include nights or weekends.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet. This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens. May require daily use of provided PPE.Our Benefits:
