Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Farm Lead Grower to oversee the cultivation and management of our restaurant garden. This pivotal role involves leading horticultural activities, ensuring optimal crop production, and maintaining a sustainable and thriving outdoor and greenhouse environment. The Farm Lead Grower will coordinate daily gardening operations, implement best practices in plant care, and manage a team of horticultural staff to deliver fresh, high-quality produce for our culinary offerings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine farming expertise with innovative agricultural techniques to support our commitment to farm-to-table excellence. Responsibilities Lead the planning, planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and harvesting of crops in outdoor garden beds and greenhouses Manage irrigation systems and agricultural environmental control systems to optimize growing conditions Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all farming activities to ensure consistency and quality Oversee crop pest management using integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to protect plant health without harmful chemicals Supervise horticultural team members, providing training on gardening best practices, plant identification, and equipment use Maintain detailed records of crop cycles, pest control measures, irrigation schedules, and environmental conditions Perform garden trimming, lawn care, land landscaping, and general plant maintenance to promote healthy growth Skills Extensive experience in crop production, greenhouse cultivation, and outdoor gardening environments Strong knowledge of irrigation management and agricultural environmental control systems Familiarity with plant pest control methods and integrated pest management strategies Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and irrigation systems safely and effectively Excellent understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and soil health management Basic math skills for measuring inputs, calculating water needs, and maintaining accurate records Physical ability for heavy lifting, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and manual gardening tasks Join us as a Farm Lead Grower to cultivate a vibrant garden that directly impacts our restaurant's fresh offerings.
