Job Description

The Hungry Gardens is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Farm Hand to join our team. This is an opportunity to become a key member of our farm operations, contribute to the day-to-day success of the farm, and grow with our team. In this role, you will support a range of farm operations, including harvesting, bed management, irrigation and watering, and executing projects. This is a part-time role, 2-3 days a week.
Required Experience & Skills Minimum Requirement:
1 year of hands-on commercial farm experience Applicants must have at least one year of verified professional farm employment to be considered for this position. We are looking for someone who is: A self-starter who understands what needs to be done and takes initiative to get it done. Efficiency-minded, using time, resources, and labor effectively when making decisions. An excellent communicator who shares concise, relevant information and asks questions when needed. Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where priorities can shift quickly. Highly skilled at time management and able to consistently meet objectives. Hyperaware and detail-oriented, able to notice variances, changes, and nuances in the surrounding environment. Adaptable and able to prioritize, adjusting as necessary to meet farm objectives. Highly organized and neat, with a preference for maintaining clean, orderly workspaces. Eager to learn, with a strong interest in continually expanding their knowledge and skillset. Able to transfer knowledge to others, helping teammates learn and develop their skills. Experience in any of the following is a plus: Produce packing and grading Edible flower or microgreen growing and harvesting Growing plant starts Working on a GAP-certified farm Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Support harvesting and other general farm operations as needed. Manage irrigation and watering systems. Prepare, turn over, and plant growing beds. Ensure growing spaces are clean, organized, and operating at 100%. Perform maintenance of farm equipment. Identify and suggest process improvements. Communicate daily updates regarding task completion and needs. Assist with light construction projects.
