Job Description

Overview We are eagerly searching for a Farm Hand and Equipment Operator to join our 3rd generation farm in Central Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of farm machinery including tractors, sprayers and trucks, as well as maintaining equipment. Your energetic approach and mechanical expertise will contribute to the success of our farm's growth and sustainability. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Duties Operate agricultural machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems with precision and care Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on farm equipment including weldings, power tools, and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance Hauling grain Supervise or collaborate with team members on manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving supplies using hand tools or forklifts Skills Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as agricultural tractors, forklifts, and other MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) machinery Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, welding, and basic troubleshooting of farm machinery CDL or willing to obtain CDL quickly Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or operating power tools Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping related to farm operations This job requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with larger hours per week around harvest and planting season.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
