Job Summary If you're interested in an Entry Level Field Operator job, then this is the best role for you! This role supports Field Agronomic Operations by assisting with research trials, crop activities, maintenance, pesticide applications, and field operations. Assist with trial establishment, monitoring, data collection, harvesting, and sales demonstration trials. Provide general support for agricultural operations, equipment, safety programs, and other assigned duties. Job Description Assist with crop and research trial establishment, including measuring and labeling plots, planting/transplanting, evaluating efficacy and crop phytotoxicity, irrigation, and harvesting. Mix and apply crop protection products under the supervision of the Field Operations representative. Assist with loading and hauling equipment to research sites. Perform field trial and equipment maintenance. Assist with establishment and monitoring of sales demonstration trials. Enter data into the SCOUT system. Operate farm equipment as required. Assist with planting, pollinating, harvesting, weeding, field preparation, seed preparation, sampling, detasseling, rogueing, and other field activities. Assist with maintenance and improvement of farms and assets. Follow all safety policies, SOPs, and site safety requirements. Attend required safety meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Required 1-3 years of experience preferred. Ability to read and write and understand verbal and written instructions in English. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow daily direction from supervisors. General knowledge of computer operating systems. Agricultural or farm experience preferred. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting approximately 50 lbs. Education/Training/Certifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of college or experience in an agricultural field preferred but not required. Non-commercial or commercial pesticide applicator license in the state of residency preferred. Valid, unrestricted driver's license required. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
Start Time:
08:00 AM Ability to work flexible hours, extended hours, or shifts during peak seasons. Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures accurately. Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for extended periods.
Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary:
$20.86 to $28.86 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors. HarveStaff LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
