About Townline Farms:
Townline Farms is a family-owned row crop operation located in the heart of Central Illinois, specializing in corn, soybean, and specialty crop production. The farm is closely connected to 360 YIELD, 360 RAIN, and other industry brands to provide hands-on testing and experimentation for new ideas, products, and agronomic practices. Overview:
This position is a hands-on agricultural role responsible for supporting daily and seasonal farming operations. The employee will operate a variety of modern farm equipment, assist with crop production activities (including planting, spraying, and harvesting), and perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and facilities. The role also involves applying crop inputs, transporting commodities, and helping manage farm supplies. Strong attention to safety, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to company policies are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate modern farm equipment for corn, soybean, and specialty crop production Assist with planting, tillage, spraying, harvesting, and seasonal field work Perform equipment operation, routine maintenance, and repairs Maintain farm facilities, equipment, shop, and warehouse cleanliness Apply crop nutrients and protection products; complete required documentation accurately Transport commodities and assist with distribution of farm supplies and grain Follow safety procedures, company policies, and participate in training programs Communicate effectively with team members to complete daily and seasonal tasks Report attendance issues promptly and maintain required licenses/certifications Monitor inventory and notify management of needed tools, parts, or supplies Represent the company professionally and complete additional duties as assigned Monitor crop conditions and report any issues to the farm manager promptly
Education & Experience:
Class A CDL (or ability to obtain) Custom Applicator License (or ability to obtain) Previous farming experience or a keen interest in agricultural work Experience operating farm machinery (tractors, combines, balers, planters, etc.) Knowledge of row crop, hay, or livestock operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude (equipment, hydraulics, maintenance) Effective communication and teamwork skills Self-motivated with strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to change Basic math and problem-solving skills Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays during peak farming seasons Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
