You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of daily farm tasks, maintaining safety standards, and promoting healthy livestock and crop production. Responsibilities Assist with livestock handling and animal husbandry, ensuring animals are fed, watered, and cared for according to best practices. Operate farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge. Support irrigation systems setup and management to optimize crop growth; monitor water usage and troubleshoot issues as needed. Manage manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy loads, moving supplies, and installing equipment while adhering to safety standards. Oversee greenhouse operations and horticultural activities to promote healthy plant growth; assist with planting, pruning, and harvesting crops. Maintain detailed records of animal health, equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections. Ensure compliance with safety standards in all production activities to create a safe working environment for everyone on the farm. Support animal care routines across various livestock species including equines; handle animals gently and responsibly to promote well-being. Assist with general farm duties such as fencing repairs, equipment cleaning, and site inspections to keep the farm running smoothly. Experience Previous experience working outdoors or in an agricultural setting is highly desirable. Supervising experience or leadership roles on farms or similar environments are a plus. Hands-on experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, or other heavy equipment is essential. Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock management and animal handling techniques. Mechanical skills related to equipment repair, maintenance operations (MRO), welding, and basic math for measurements or calculations. Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse management, horticulture practices, and power tools enhances your suitability for this role. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
