Job Description

19 Agricultural Equipment Operators are needed in Pulaski County, Indiana, to assist with potato harvesting. Work includes operating tractors, harvesters, wind rowers, crop carts, pilers, forklifts, bobcats, washline equipment, and farm trucks over 26,000 lbs. Duties involve pre-operation inspections, basic equipment maintenance and repairs, calibrating machinery, unloading and grading potatoes, safely loading and unloading trailers, weighing crop containers, and general farm labor. Workers must handle potatoes carefully to avoid damage and follow all safety procedures. Applicants must have 3 months of experience operating agricultural equipment (including bobcats, forklifts, tractors, and washline equipment) within the past 2 years and must hold, or be able to obtain, a valid U.S. driver's license. Employers must follow current AEWR rates and apply adverse compensation adjustments for H-2A workers receiving free employer-provided housing, as required by state guidelines under the interim rule. Workers hired from beyond normal commuting distance will be reimbursed for inbound transportation costs. Workers who complete the full work contract will also receive outbound transportation.
