Job Type Full-time Description The Grain Elevator Operator & Service Station Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and shipment of grain, as well as providing fuel, automotive services, and customer assistance at a service station. This dual-role position supports both agricultural operations and general vehicle servicing needs, requiring attention to detail, customer service skills, and mechanical aptitude.
Requirements Grain Elevator Operator Duties:
Operate grain handling equipment (elevators, conveyors, augers, dryers, etc.) Load and unload trucks with grain Monitor grain storage conditions, including temperature and pest control Maintain accurate records of grain inventory and transactions Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grain handling equipment Follow safety procedures for working in confined spaces and around heavy equipment Assist farmers with grain deliveries and logistics
Service Station Attendant Duties:
Dispense fuel, check oil levels, and provide basic vehicle maintenance services (e.g., fixing flat tires) Perform light mechanical work such as oil changes or replacing small parts (filters, bulbs) Process customer transactions using cash registers or point-of-sale systems Restock shelves with automotive and convenience store products Maintain cleanliness of the station's interior and exterior (including fueling areas) Monitor fuel levels in storage tanks and report discrepancies or leaks Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times
