Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The IPM Technician supports plant health by executing integrated pest management strategies, including regular scouting, treatment application, and detailed reporting. Working under the IPM Supervisor or Manager, this role is essential to early pest and disease detection and prevention through compliant, environmentally responsible practices.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Pest and Disease Monitoring- Regularly inspect plants and cultivation areas for pests, diseases, and beneficial insects. Use traps and visual scouting to track pest trends. Promptly report any irregularities, including those related to irrigation, plant health, or equipment. Application of Treatments
- Safely Apply biological controls, beneficial insects, and compliant pesticides safely and accurately. Ensure proper signage, follow all re-entry interval protocols, and document all applications in accordance with regulatory requirements. Data Collection and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of pest activity, treatment methods, and environmental conditions.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Equipment Maintenance- Clean, calibrate, and maintain IPM tools, application devices, and environmental sensors. Ensure sanitation protocols are followed to prevent contamination and ensure accuracy. Compliance and Safety
- Consistently follow all PPE requirements, chemical safety procedures, company SOPs and state regulatory compliance. Attend mandatory training and maintain certifications as required by law. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cultivation, fertigation, and compliance teams to identify and resolve plant health issues.
