Field Worker The King Farm South Dartmouth, MA Job Details Part-time $16 - $18 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Outdoor work experience Driver's License Full Job Description Part-Time Field Worker The King Farm - South Dartmouth, MA 20-25 hours per week | Year-Round The King Farm is looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to join our field team. This is a year-round position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in physical work, and wants to be part of a growing family farm. No two days are exactly the same. Depending on the season, you'll care for our chickens, help grow thousands of cut flowers, maintain the farm grounds, and assist with a variety of projects that keep the farm running. Responsibilities Perform daily animal care, including feeding, watering, collecting eggs, and monitoring the health of both our layer hens and broiler chickens Plant, weed, cultivate, deadhead, harvest, and process cut flowers Prepare and maintain flower beds throughout the growing season Assist with seasonal planting, irrigation, and fall field cleanup Perform general farm landscaping and property maintenance Operate hand tools and basic farm equipment safely Keep work areas clean, organized, and well maintained Assist with general farm projects and other duties as needed Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable working around chickens and other farm animals Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Able to work independently as well as part of a team Previous farming, landscaping, or outdoor work experience is helpful but not required Schedule Approximately 20-25 hours per week Schedule will be determined based on the candidate's availability and the seasonal needs of the farm.
