The role of the Cultivation Associate is to implement the horticultural plan created by the Director of Cultivation. Duties include but are not limited to the following: planting, transplanting, pruning, defoliation, trellising, hand watering as needed. Scouting for moisture, disease and pest pathogens, and hermaphroditic flowers. They will follow the IPM program within the cultivation plan, contribute to the pre-harvest process, assist with harvesting and cleaning, and sterilizing of the grow facility. Associates will also perform daily checks of environmental conditions as well as logging all daily data for the garden to be used for analysis. To prevent production loss Associates will communicate to supervisors when materials are low in stock. The Cultivation Associate will embrace continued education as it relates to plant care and will be a team player. Cultivation Associates do not make changes to the environment or nutritional programs without consulting the Director. The health of the crop and maintaining the schedule are the primary goals and responsibilities of those in the cultivation department.

Principal Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Cultivation Associate is to follow the Director of Cultivation's instructions regarding the planting and harvesting schedules; plant management plan; fertilization schedule; pest management plan; agriculture cleanliness.

Daily Tasks:

Scouting for plant pests, pathogens, hermaphroditic flowers, removal of all dead plant material from grow rooms, transplanting, pruning. Being aware of changes in environmental features and telling management or a director. Destroying and logging all plant waste as per CCC guidelines.

• Complete janitorial duties (clean counters, tables, pots, irrigation equipment, floors, walls, equipment inspection and service.)
• Assist with harvest when necessary
• Other duties assigned by the Cultivation Manager Following the IPM program as dictated by the cultivation plan to ensure cleanliness of facilities and health of crops.

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:

Commercial horticultural experience and manufacturing experience is preferred Knowledgeable about cannabis: genetics, laws, regulations, medicinal values, culture, and trends of the industry Has practical working knowledge of insect and disease pathogens and is well versed in pest control Physical Requirements /

Work Environment:

Agriculture work, by nature, is physically demanding. The Cultivation Associate must be able to:

• Lift 50+ pounds
• Stand up to 8 hours per shift
