A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.
SUMMARY Responsible for the skilled planning and maintenance of irrigation systems on golf course and landscaped areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Programs, operates, and maintains the golf course irrigation systems. Reports irregularities in turf quality to management Waters greens, tees, and fairways. Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water. Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed. Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies. Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds greens, tees, and fairways. Operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor. All other duties as assigned.

You will report directly to the Grounds Superintendent.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner. Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proven experience providing high level of guest service. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from team members or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations. The availability to work all shifts. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company. The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Golf course maintenance experience required. Minimum of three to four years' experience in irrigation systems work preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 25 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, and distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
