Position Summary Coastal Roots is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Cultivation Technician to support day-to-day cannabis cultivation operations at our South Portland facility. This role is hands-on and includes plant care, harvesting, sanitation, data collection, inventory tracking, and supporting the cultivation team in meeting production and quality goals. Responsibilities Perform routine plant and crop maintenance using established cultivation procedures, including cloning, transplanting, pruning, pest management, harvesting, and bucking. Maintain a clean and sanitary cultivation environment by cleaning rooms, tools, equipment, and workspaces and properly disposing of cannabis waste. Collect and record data related to plant health, soil health, and environmental conditions. Meet established productivity and activity expectations. Learn, follow, and consistently apply cultivation SOPs, sanitation standards, and safety procedures. Complete assigned cultivation tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently. Maintain accurate records, including inventory documentation, data entry, and seed-to-sale tracking. Support inventory and compliance requirements related to cannabis plants and products. Work collaboratively with other Cultivation team members to meet production, quality, and operational goals. Monitor work areas and communicate plant health, environmental, pest, or operational concerns to management. Use standard office equipment, technology, and software as needed. Perform other cultivation-related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cannabis cultivation, horticulture, agriculture, or similar hands-on experience preferred. Ability to follow detailed SOPs and maintain accurate records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Comfortable performing repetitive, physical, and hands-on work. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to use basic technology and data-entry systems. Must meet all requirements for employment within Maine's regulated cannabis industry.
