We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual with excellent customer service skills to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential irrigation systems throughout Michigan. Typical work season runs from March through October/early November, depending on weather conditions, with the opportunity to return each season. Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Short- and long-term disability insurance Life insurance Paid holidays and paid time off Company-provided uniforms, vehicle, tools, and equipment Qualified candidates should have: Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong mechanical aptitude High school diploma or GED Technical training or 2-3 years of experience in irrigation, plumbing, landscaping, mechanical service, or a related field preferred Knowledge of irrigation systems and components preferred Valid driver's license with a good driving record Responsibilities include: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential irrigation systems Diagnose and repair sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, controllers, wiring, and piping Perform seasonal start-ups, winterizations, inspections, and routine maintenance Program irrigation controllers and recommend system improvements Complete service documentation and communicate findings with customers Maintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory Follow all safety procedures and participate in an on-call rotation after training Travel throughout Michigan to service customer locations This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, and operating hand and power tools.
