Position description Job overview The Harvest Technician position is responsible for year-round harvesting of hydroponic seed potato minitubers. This will include a variety of tasks ranging from picking potatoes and routine cleaning to grading and sizing minitubers. Self-motivation and time-management skills are essential, as is a team-focused attitude. We are committed to providing a good, clean and consistent product to our customers, year after year. responsibilities & duties Perform regular cleaning tasks throughout the greenhouse facility. Maintain cleanliness standards. Harvest hydroponic seed potatoes in an efficient manner. Prepare materials for hydroponic production - cutting plastics. Working as a team in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining careful records of variety identification and harvest counts. qualifications Entry-level position. On-the-job training is provided. Positive attitude and works well in small teams. Self-starter with time management skills. Able to lift 30lbs, no physical restrictions. Advancement and further training opportunities are available to motivated individuals.
