Job Duties:
Workers in Skill Level 1 planting and cultivating of perennials, shrubs, and trees perform a wide range of manual nursery tasks including mowing, cutting, weeding, ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, and field preparation, often requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling. They use hand tools and power equipment, lift and move products, palletize materials, and apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other treatments according to plant needs and conditions. Duties also include maintaining nursery structures and equipment, installing and repairing irrigation systems, clearing debris, maintaining fences and deer netting, and performing production-line activities such as grading, sorting, packing, and quality control. Workers plant, propagate, prune, transplant, irrigate, fertilize, count, inventory, prepare, and dig plants, including wrapping roots, lacing, and securing baskets to meet nursery quality standards and customer requirements. Tasks are performed in varying weather conditions ranging from 10 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, including occasional non-severe rain.

Housing:
The employer retains possession and control of the housing premises at all times. Workers provided housing under the terms of this Clearance Order shall vacate the housing promptly upon termination of employment with the employer.

Such transportation will be in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
