As a Barn Technician, you will manage daily operations in finishing barns to support pig health, welfare, and production. Responsibilities include providing daily animal care, monitoring pig health and barn conditions, maintaining feed and water systems, operating farm equipment, maintaining accurate records, and following all biosecurity and safety protocols. Additionally, you will monitor barn systems, troubleshoot equipment and operational issues, make necessary adjustments, and help ensure safe and efficient barn operations. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. Requirements (Qualifications) Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on agricultural environment Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50+ pounds, and work around livestock while following animal care and biosecurity practices Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities Valid driver's license preferred Prior agricultural or hog farming experience preferred Compensation & Benefits Compensation is $18-20/hour with overtime paid after 45 hours/week. Hours are typically 7am - 4:30pm with many weekends and rotating holidays.
