Minnesota DHIA, a leader in dairy information services, is looking for a full-time Field Technician based in the Buckman/Gilman, MN area . This position will serve dairy farms primarily in Morrison and Benton counties. Our Field Technicians work directly with dairy farmers, supervising and carrying out milk sampling and data collection during milking. The information you collect helps farmers make better management decisions and improve the performance of their herds. If you enjoy agriculture, working independently, and building long-term relationships with local farm families, this is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in Minnesota dairy. Hours follow dairy farm milking schedules and include mostly early mornings (occasionally as early as 3:00 AM) and a few evenings. Scheduling is flexible and coordinated between you and the farms you serve. A couple of days per month of travel to herds in Northeast or North-central Minnesota may also be expected. A dairy or agricultural background is preferred, but we provide equipment, hands-on initial training, and ongoing support . Successful technicians are dependable, comfortable working independently, detail-oriented, have basic comfort with working on a computer, and enjoy working with both people and equipment. The position requires reliable transportation (milage is reimbursed) and the ability to work on your feet in a dairy farm environment.
