- Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Farm Hand/Laborer .
The first month will be spent cleaning up barns and sheds from a pervious active cattle ranch. Also, in this role, you will be instrumental in supporting daily farm operations, caring for livestock, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of farm activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, contributing to sustainable farming practices and animal husbandry. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within the agricultural industry. Duties Assist with livestock management, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring of animals such as cattle, horses, and poultry Operate farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and power tools safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting, fencing repairs, planting, harvesting, and general farm cleanup Support irrigation systems setup and maintenance to ensure proper water distribution across fields or greenhouses Assist with animal husbandry practices by cleaning animal enclosures, administering basic veterinary care under supervision, and managing animal movement Follow safety standards diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members Experience Prior experience working on a farm or in an agricultural setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of farm machinery operation including tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment Hands-on experience with livestock handling and animal care practices Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance; welding skills are a plus Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with physical manual handling tasks Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse management or growing experience is advantageous Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and perform basic math calculations for measurements or inventory management Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for supporting team coordination and safety oversight Join us in making a tangible impact through sustainable farming!
