Be part of the team on the premier whitetail hunting destination in the United States. Responsible for the health and welfare of 600 to 700 head of whitetail deer in the breeding operation and another 300 to 400 head of whitetail deer in the hunting preserve. We are willing to train someone on all aspects of this job if candidate is willing to learn, work hard and be a team player.

Preferred Experience:

Farm experience, running equipment, farm/ranch work, animal science degree, dairy farming experience, or other animal care.

Responsibilities:

Standard ranch work, including but not limited to fence work, running of large equipment, mowing/brush-hogging, discing, planting, maintenance an upkeep of equipment. Work with the team to make day to day decisions on the ranch, food plots, stand placement and repair. Capable of daily herd health decisions and making adjustments as necessary with an arsenal of medications on hand. Nutritional decisions on feed rations. Making TMR feed along with hydroponic feed in the state of the art hydroponic building. Neonatal care which includes feeding, tagging, weighing, documenting birth information on an average of 250 fawns per year. Decisions on what type medication and treatment to give the herd. Breeding/genetic decisions and research, including genetic testing on different traits and health/disease resistant genotypes . Help with artificial insemination, including both lap AI and vaginal on both conventional and sexed semen.

Willing to work and learn with a team that is more like family than a business. Able to learn and think outside the box to come up with new ideas to make the ranch the best it can be. Good with people, go the extra mile for the customer and animals.
