Position Overview The Post Production Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all cannabis products are prepared, packaged, and maintained to the highest quality standards. This position involves one or more of the following post-harvest activities, including trimming, packaging, preroll production, waste handling, and maintaining a clean and compliant workspace. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities Trimming:
Hand-trim or machine-trim dried cannabis flower to maintain quality, consistency, and visual appeal.
Packaging:
Accurately weigh, label, and package cannabis flower, prerolls, and other products in compliance with company SOPs and state regulations.
Preroll Production:
Operate preroll machines or hand-roll joints, ensuring consistency in weight, density, and presentation.
Waste Management:
Safely collect, document, and dispose of cannabis waste according to state and local regulatory requirements.
Cleaning & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and production spaces, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company cleaning protocols.
Quality Control:
Inspect products for defects, contaminants, or inconsistencies; report issues to supervisors.
Inventory Management:
Assist with material tracking, labeling, and data entry to maintain accurate production and inventory records.
Compliance:
Follow all state and company regulations regarding product handling, labeling, and workplace safety. Qualifications Prior experience in cannabis cultivation, processing, or manufacturing (required). High school diploma or equivalent (required). Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy. Basic math and data entry skills for weighing and tracking product. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs). Team player with good communication and time-management skills. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass all required background checks. Working Conditions Fast-paced production environment with exposure to cannabis plant material and aromas. Requires standing, bending, and repetitive motions for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required (e.g., gloves, masks, lab coats).
