A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator, mechanic, general farm laborer to join our team on our family farm. Would like somebody that likes variety, is a quick learner and willing to learn. Some Saturdays are required but no Sundays. Some various tasks could include but not limited to: operating tractors, operating bulldozer, excavator, skid steer, semi truck, trucks, delivering seed, installing drainage tile, loading out grain on trucks, unloading grain, hauling grain to market, cleaning up brush on farms, shopwork, general mechanic work. Knowledge of Running a sprayer or planter would be extremely beneficial. Must be able to lift 70 pounds. We are not required to pay overtime on a farm. However we pay overtime starting at 45 hours. Our busiest times are as generally as follows March 20th to April 20th Corn Planting June 12 to July 4th Wheat harvest and Soybean planting August 15th to Sept 20th Corn harvest and prep for wheat planting October 1st to Nov 15th.
