Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment to ensure healthy, attractive lawns and landscapes Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to maintain the visual appeal of outdoor spaces Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems and adjust or repair as needed to ensure proper watering schedules Use hand tools and power tools safely for landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, aerating, or installing new features Identify different plant species and assess their health; apply appropriate horticultural practices to promote growth Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment Assist with pest management and pesticide application in accordance with regulations and safety guidelines Skills Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment effectively Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment operation Ability to identify various plants, trees, and pests; understanding of horticulture principles Knowledge of irrigation systems installation, repair, and management for efficient water use Strong understanding of lawn care practices including mowing schedules, fertilization, aeration, and weed control Outdoor work experience demonstrating stamina, attention to detail, and safety consciousness This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor environments who are eager to develop their skills in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
