A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

Duties Transporting crop to elevator Operate tractors with various implements. Operating planting and harvesting equipment Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other farm machinery safely and efficiently for transporting supplies and managing fields. Conduct routine equipment repairs,and maintenance tasks to keep machinery in top working condition. Supervise or collaborate with team members on tasks such as crop management, and equipment operation to ensure safety and productivity. Maintain accurate records of farm activities, and maintenance reports. Requirements Truck driving experience, either semi, or 5th wheel. No CDL required. Supervising experience preferred for overseeing team members or farm projects. Mechanical knowledge including basic equipment repair, welding skills, or familiarity with farm machinery and power tools. Ability to operate heavy equipment like forklifts and other heavy machinery safely Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and operate hand tools or power tools effectively. Basic math skills for measuring inputs, and maintaining logs Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety standards across all farm activities.

From $24.00 per hour
