Job Description
Overview We are seeking a self motivated and skilled Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our greenhouse facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive environment by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Your expertise will help support our mission to cultivate healthy plants and foster sustainable growth within a dynamic horticultural setting. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of greenhouse systems including HVAC (Heating and Ventilation), plumbing, electrical equipment, and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance. Repair and troubleshoot any electrical issues; perform electrical equipment repair and maintenance as needed. Maintain and repair plumbing/irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, pumps, and fixtures to prevent leaks and ensure proper water flow. Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and Ohmmeters to diagnose issues with electrical equipment and mechanical systems. Perform facilities maintenance tasks such as electrical work, carpentry repairs, welding projects, and general building upkeep to maintain productive environment. Requirements Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO). Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in electrical work—including electrical system repair—and plumbing system maintenance. Familiarity with HVAC system repair and troubleshooting; experience with HVAC systems is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, and testing devices such as Ohmmeters. Experience working with building interior maintenance tasks such as electrical work, carpentry, welding, or other trades is preferred. Self motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
