About Mellow Marsh Farm:

Mellow Marsh was founded in 1997 to provide southeastern native plants for water quality projects such as stream restoration, storm water management, wetland mitigation, and erosion control. We currently propagate over 300 different species of native trees, shrubs, grasses, and forbs. This job is full-time permanent.

Job duties include:

Re-potting plant material Irrigation maintenance and repair Pulling orders Loading trucks and communicating with customers Weeding Seed collection and cleaning Required qualifications: Ability to do physical labor outside, year-round in all weather conditions Dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented Working knowledge of English Comfortable working in a team environment Preferred qualifications: Experience working in a production nursery Experience with irrigation systems Experience in repair and maintenance of small engines and equipment Familiarity with Southeastern native plants (including seed) Comfortable using taxonomic nomenclature and identification keys

Schedule:

Monday thru Thursday from 7:00am-3:30pm (paid lunch) Friday from 7:00am-11:30am

Pay and Benefits:

Starting at $15/hour, depending on experience Paid holidays and sick time IRA with 3% matching contribution
