CHICKENFARM TECHNICIAN SUMMARY
As a chicken technician you will manage activities focused on the care, growth, and welfare of our poultry flocks.DAILY ROUTINE
Day-to-day responsibilities will center on active poultry flock management and high-quality farm maintenance:Flock Care & Growth:
Monitor animal health, set up houses for new flocks, manage water and feed line adjustments.Environment:
Maintain the ideal climate in the barns, wash fans, and clean feed bin pads to ensure optimal conditions.Biosecurity & Sanitation:
Perform daily mortality management (collection, recording, and composting/incineration), care for chick trays, and maintain bait stations.Facility Maintenance:
Handle minor repairs using hand-held drills.Data Tracking:
Log accurate daily totals for mortality and water consumption to help track flock health trends.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Detail-Oriented Employees:
Ability to quickly spot environmental issues, livestock health changes, or equipment variances and fix them immediately.Safety Leaders:
Commitment to enforcing company safety codes, environmental laws, and emergency protocols across your section.Hands-On Skill:
Experience or comfort operating basic tools, driving utility vehicles, and working independently on daily checklists.Physical Capability:
