A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform regular Organic turf maintenance activities.
- Identify and address turf issues such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Operate and maintain turf equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to implement turf management plans that align with overall landscape designs.
- Keep accurate records of turf maintenance activities and report any issues to supervisors.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering advice on turf care.
- If applicable snowplowing and shoveling during the winter months.
- Take site measurements as needed.
- Use proper resources to troubleshoot new challenges or issues.
- Proper use and calibration of hand tools and equipment.
- Diagnosing and repair tools and equipment in the field.
- Operate aerator and other ride-on machines.
- Know and adhere to NH DES rules and regulations regarding application on waterfront properties.
- Ability to read and decipher Safety Data Sheets and Labels.
- Proper use of hand tools and equipment.
- Use proper time management.
- Work independently and make decisions.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Verifiable turf care experience (1+ Years)
- Holds or can obtain within 6 months:
NH G1+G2, B
pesticides licenses (if applicable)SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Valid Drivers License Required, company will help employees obtain DOT Medical Card
- The ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Proven experience as a Turf Technician or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of turf varieties, growth patterns, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with turf equipment operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of soil composition, fertility, and irrigation principles.
- Ability to diagnose and address common turf issues, including pests and diseases.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly exposed to extreme temperatures and various weather conditions.
- Frequently required to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Often required to reach above and below shoulder level.
- Frequent hand manipulation is needed for grasping, handling objects, and operating controls.
- Frequent bending and squatting, with occasional twisting and kneeling.
