A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

- Part-time, Full-time Role and Responsibilities Assist recording information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs Assist with repairs and maintenance of farm vehicles and equipment Plant seeds or transplant seedlings by hand Harvest produce by hand Help identify and remove crop pests and weeds Inform farm managers of crop progress Load and unload agricultural products into trucks Work with and around tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops Help repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures Help set up and operate irrigation equipment Apply pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers to crops Assist in farm maintenance related tasks Assist in raising pastured turkeys that require daily watering, feeding, cleaning, ect.
