The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with farm irrigation, be comfortable working independently, and understand the importance of proper water management and timely irrigation. Responsibilities Operate and monitor farm irrigation systems to ensure crops receive proper and consistent water. Start, stop, and adjust irrigation according to farm schedules and crop needs. Check fields, irrigation lines, valves, gates, pumps, and related equipment. Identify and troubleshoot irrigation problems, including leaks, plugged lines, low pressure, and uneven water distribution. Perform basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs as needed. Monitor water flow and field conditions throughout irrigation cycles. Communicate irrigation issues and field conditions to farm management. Assist with other general farm duties when needed. Safely operate farm vehicles, equipment, and tools. Follow all farm safety procedures and instructions. Requirements Minimum 5 years of farm irrigation experience required. Valid driver's license required with Clean Driving Record Strong knowledge of agricultural irrigation practices and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot common irrigation problems. Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, and changing weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including walking fields, lifting, bending, and working around irrigation equipment. Must be willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended hours when irrigation schedules require it. Reliable transportation to and from work. Bilingual in Spanish and Englsih Preferred Qualifications Experience working on commercial farms or large agricultural operations. Experience with pumps, valves, pipelines, drip irrigation, flood irrigation, or other agricultural irrigation systems. Basic mechanical and equipment maintenance skills. Familiarity with crop production and irrigation scheduling.

Pay:

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 80.0 per week
