Job Description

Part-Time Plant Care Horticulturalist Are plants your passion? Looking for a part-time role while your child is in school? Join a team that brings green, healthy environments to workplaces across the Syracuse area! We're looking for someone who is: A team player with a passion for plants or a strong interest in learning Able to lift 20 lbs repeatedly and be on your feet, pushing a cart, throughout the day Detail-oriented and organized Able to multitask and work independently Reliable with consistent transportation Experienced in horticulture (preferred, but we will train the right person)
Key Responsibilities:
Care for interior plants in commercial settings, ensuring their health and aesthetic quality Water plants and sub-irrigation units appropriately based on plant type and condition Clean plant foliage and remove dust and debris Prune and remove yellowing or discolored leaves Monitor for pests Keep planters and surrounding areas neat and tidy Fertilize plants as needed Maintain clean tools and restock supplies as necessary Report any plant issues, lost items, or changes in site conditions Communicate professionally with clients and act as their on-site liaison Request plant replacements promptly when needed Follow your assigned route and schedule reliably Attend regular team meetings Assist with special projects as needed
Schedule & Perks:
Part-time:
22-25 hours/week Routes are Monday-Wednesday, between 8 AM and 5 PM Typical route: 6-8 hours Company vehicle provided during work hours All major holidays off
