Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our dynamic team dedicated to cultivating vibrant landscapes, thriving gardens, and lush green spaces. In this role, you will apply your expertise in horticulture, gardening, and landscape maintenance to create beautiful, sustainable environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a variety of tools and techniques, and contribute to the health and beauty of our natural surroundings. Duties Design, implement, and maintain diverse planting schemes for gardens, landscapes, and greenhouses Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for various plant types Conduct regular gardening tasks including pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control Operate hand tools and power tools safely for landscape maintenance Oversee lawn care routines such as mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and weed control Monitor plant health and diagnose issues related to horticulture or pests Qualifications Proven experience in horticulture or related fields such as gardening, landscaping, or farming is required Dependability is a must! We are looking for someone who can work 40 hours a week minimum. Hands-on experience with growing plants indoors and outdoors in various environments Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscape maintenance procedures Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., pruners, shovels) and power tools (e.g., trimmers, tillers) safely Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for outdoor work in different weather conditions Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
