A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Stud Farm Attendant to join our team in Oakwood.
SHIFT HOURS
Typically a 5-day work schedule, 4:00am-12:00pm, with a rotating weekend
STARTING HOURLY RATE
$17.55 with the potential of increasing to $18.80 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance) All training will be provided for this entry level position.
Job functions include:
Administering medicines/vitamins as directed from managerAssisting with blood test and vaccinations as neededKeeping building exterior/grounds cleanMaintaining acceptable litter qualityMaintaining supply inventory and keeping accurate records for barn and flock
