Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Calf Caretaker for our dairy farm operations. This role involves overseeing the health, nutrition, and overall well-being of young calves, ensuring they receive proper care from birth through early development stages. The ideal candidate will possess strong animal husbandry skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with farm machinery to maintain a safe and efficient environment for the calves. Duties Provide daily care for calves, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health status Assist with cleaning and sanitation of calf housing areas to promote healthy growth Operate equipment such as feeders, waterers, and cleaning tools safely and efficiently Manage animal handling tasks with care and patience to ensure stress-free interactions Support growth and development programs by tracking calf progress and adjusting care routines accordingly Maintain accurate records of feeding schedules, health treatments, and growth metrics Qualifications Prior supervising experience in animal care or farm settings preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively Basic math skills for record keeping and measurement tasks Strong commitment to animal welfare and farm safety standards Growing experience in agriculture or farming environments is advantageous This paid position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about livestock care and farm maintenance.
