We're hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Day Program.
Schedule:
1st Shift, 8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., part-time, four days per week to a potential full time role! What This Job Really Is This isn't a desk job. You'll spend your days helping adults with autism learn new skills, express themselves, connect with their community, and navigate daily life with confidence. Your work directly shapes someone's day, their progress, and their sense of independence.
Expect an active environment:
Working on a functioning farm Hiking at Metroparks Gardening, horticulture, and grounds work Creative projects in art and culinary programs Paid training is provided. No background in this field required, all empathy and support! Pay & Benefits $16.50 per hour Flexible part-time scheduling Employee Resource Network membership with a Success Coach What You'll Be Doing Deliver person-centered support with consistency and creativity Partner with participants to meet personal goals Document services accurately and on time Encourage independence, communication, and social engagement Assist with hygiene needs, which may include bathing, toileting, and managing bodily fluids What You Bring Genuine empathy and respect for others Ability to work as part of a team Reliability Monday-Friday Patience, especially in challenging situations Strong, adaptable communication skills High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license and auto insurance If you're exploring careers in social services, education, healthcare, psychology, or disability support, this role gives you hands-on experience that matters. ?????
