We are a regenerative farm in Yellow Springs raising grass fed beef and pasture raised poultry. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Farm Hand to join our small team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, caring for livestock, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of all farm activities. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for farming, hands-on experience with agricultural machinery, and a strong commitment to safety and animal welfare. Duties Assist with daily livestock management, including moving livestock, watering, and health monitoring of animals such as cattle and poultry Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Perform routine repairs and maintenance on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical skills Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, fencing repairs, animal husbandry chores, and general farm upkeep Follow strict safety standards during all operations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment Supervise or assist with other team members in tasks requiring supervision experience or teamwork skills Qualifications Proven farm experience with a solid understanding of agricultural practices and machinery operation Hands-on experience with livestock handling and animal husbandry techniques Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance Experience in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling preferred Experience driving and backing trailers Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong understanding of safety standards in agricultural production environments Excellent outdoor work experience with the ability to adapt to varying weather conditions Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping related to farm activities Experience with animal care including livestock management is required Join us in cultivating a thriving farm environment where your skills will grow alongside our farm!
