Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

On-site Position Summary Rushtown Poultry is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Farm Operations Technician to maintain our Danville property and support daily farm operations. Property maintenance is the position's primary responsibility, with cross-training provided in equipment operation, manure handling, feed mill support, barn operations, and dock activities. Key Responsibilities Maintain grounds and exterior areas through mowing, trimming, edging, snow and ice removal, and general cleanup. Maintain gravel drives, yards, entrances, dumpster areas, fences, gates, signs, lights, and building exteriors. Complete minor repairs and promptly report larger maintenance concerns. Keep tools, equipment, and shop areas clean, organized, and ready for use. Safely operate skid steers, loaders, mowers, and attachments. Complete routine equipment inspections, lubrication, and fluid checks. Transport equipment between company farms when authorized. Assist with loading, staging, and moving manure. Support feed mill receiving, batching, cleanup, and housekeeping. Assist with barn walks, basic bird care, and egg room duties. Support dock loading, staging, cleanup, and coverage as needed. Follow all company safety, biosecurity, and operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Dependable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to manage changing priorities and perform different tasks throughout the day. Groundskeeping, property maintenance, farm work, material handling, or equipment experience is preferred but not required. Poultry experience is not required; training will be provided. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical work. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work in farm environments involving poultry, dust, odors, manure, feed, loading areas, and moving equipment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety and biosecurity requirements.
