Job Description

Overview This position is open to all female applicants. Join our woman owned and operated small family farm team as an onsite live in Farm Hand and Caretaker, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and productivity of our agricultural operations. This position comes with a private one bedroom apartment on the farm and offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a lively environment, engaging with livestock, operating heavy machinery, and supporting the daily functions of a thriving farm. Your hands-on skills and passion for farming will contribute directly to our mission of sustainable and efficient agricultural practices. This is a paid position that values your experience and dedication. Duties Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering and egg collection Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and other agricultural equipment safely and efficiently Conduct repairs on farm equipment using power tools, and basic mechanical skills to ensure optimal operation Assist with manual handling tasks such as lifting feed bags, moving livestock, and installing fencing or infrastructure Manage routine maintenance of farm facilities, including building upkeep, irrigation systems, and animal shelters Oversee livestock management activities including breeding programs, health checks, and handling animals with care and safety standards in mind Requirements Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in outdoor conditions Good communication skills and ability to follow directions and instructions. Basic math skills for measurements, record keeping, and inventory management Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on animal care particularly birds Good physical stamina to support daily hours of manual labor in varying weather conditions Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to sustainable farming practices!
